The family behind the fruit

Tewantin Market Garden is proudly family owned and run by local mother daughter team, Monica & Ashleigh.

With backgrounds in horticulture and knowledge in nutrition, their aim is to personally select every item in store to to provide the best produce to our local community and complement the diverse range of fruit and vegetables available.

With a focus on community, Tewantin Market Garden supplies fresh produce to local day care centres, schools and cafes.

‘Food is Medicine’ and Ash and Monica’s food philosophy, ensuring that the produce in store is
quality, affordable and available to everyone.

To have the freshest fruit and vegetables means Tewantin Market Garden is seasonally driven.

When the season changes, so do we.

Summer brings tropical fruits grown right here in Queensland. Winter brings the
Brassica family, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Kale, Brussel Sprouts from Gympie, Stanthorpe,
Childers, Gayndah and Bundaberg.

In store, herbs are grown locally in Noosa, lettuce is grown in Pomona and Gympie.
Lemons and limes are from North Arm.

Supporting local growers feeds back in to the community. The food miles (looking at all requirements involved in moving the produce from farm to store) and environmental impact is reduced.

Monica and Ash believe that information is key to ensuring customers understand the seasons and the availability of the food they consume.

The Sunshine Coast brings a wide variety of seasonal produce to Tewantin Market Garden’s doorstep.
